Every plant runs on logic
somebody had to write, test, commission and document.

We are the engineers behind that logic. PLC and SCADA architecture, control panel design, commissioning and connected IIoT infrastructure — specified, built and documented so your plant keeps running long after we hand it over.

How we deliver

Engineering without borders.

CloudTech Automation runs every project as a fully managed engineering programme — on site where the work demands it, remote where it doesn't. The same structured process applies either way: scoping and design, programming and integration, factory acceptance testing, and commissioning support through to handover.

That structure keeps every project accountable from first specification to final sign-off, with clear documentation at each stage — so you always know what's been done, what's next, and who's responsible for it.

  • 01

    Concept & design

Process review, functional design specification and control architecture planning before a single line of logic is written.

  • 02

    Programming & integration

PLC, HMI and SCADA logic development, panel integration and communication architecture, built against the agreed design.

  • 03

    Testing & FAT

Factory acceptance testing and structured validation before equipment ever reaches site, catching issues where they're cheapest to fix.

  • 04

    Commissioning & handover

On-site commissioning, operator training and as-built documentation, so your team can run and maintain the system after we leave.

GEOFLEXheat: control engineering for next‑generation geothermal heat.

GEOFLEXheat is a Horizon Europe research project developing technology to recover heat from geothermal brine for industrial heat applications and district heating and cooling networks. It combines a heat pipe heat exchanger, a scaling reactor that precipitates and removes silica particles from the brine to protect equipment and extend reinjection well life, and a high-temperature heat pump.

Our involvement

Providing the project’s control system, in partnership with Oliveris.

Oliveris Tech Incubator (Ireland) is a member of the GEOFLEXheat consortium. CloudTech Automation is Oliveris’ partner on the project, and develops and provides control system services through that partnership — working as control system integrator and automation consultant.

Our work covers the control and automation side of the research: how the process equipment is controlled, monitored and protected, from design through to commissioning.

Technical scope

  1. 01

    Control architecture

Defining the control system architecture, I/O and instrumentation interfaces for the project’s process equipment.

  2. 02

    PLC and SCADA development

Programming control logic, sequences, interlocks and alarm handling, with operator visualisation and trending.

  3. 03

    System integration

Integrating instruments, actuators and subsystems over industrial communication networks.

  4. 04

    Data acquisition

Logging process data in a structured form to support the research team’s analysis.

  5. 05

    Testing and commissioning

Factory and site acceptance testing, loop checking, commissioning and handover documentation.
